The District is responsible for the operation and maintenance of flood control structures within the Upper Brushy Creek watershed in the Brazos River Basin. It's the local sponsor of 23 dams in Williamson County, Texas. Most of the dams are located north of Austin around the Cities of Round Rock, Leander,
Cedar Park and Hutto.

Construction News
- Construction at Dam 13A, Dam 4, & Dam 6 is substantially complete.
- A Trash Rack and Valve Replacement project began on April 30, 2012 and is scheduled to be completed in September 2012. Work will be taking place at Dams 1, 2, 4-9, 11, 12, 15-22.
